Mr. Ganapathy has a combined thirteen years of experience as an entrepreneur, operating executive and angel investor. As an entrepreneur, he is the COO and co-founder of Virident Systems. Previously, he co-founded VxTel, a leading VoIP (voice over IP) chipset company that was funded by Sequoia Capital and acquired by Intel Corporation for $550 million in 2001. He has eight years of experience as an operating executive including four years in the Office of the CTO at Intel and three years at Conexant. He is an active angel investor in five companies and is a recognized leader in DSP, wireless and computing systems architecture. Mr. Ganapathy’s venture relationships include USVP, Sequoia Capital, Artiman Ventures and Telesoft. Mr. Ganapathy holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois; Masters in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
