Manish Bhatia is the executive vice president of Global Operations at Micron Technology. He is responsible for the companys end-to-end operations delivering industry leading technology and products at scale. His scope includes Fab and Assembly/Test manufacturing, Packaging and Test development, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement as well as IT, Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence initiatives. Mr. Bhatia joined Micron in 2017. Previously, Mr. Bhatia served as the Executive Vice President of Silicon Operations at Western Digital Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Bhatia held several executive roles at SanDisk Corporation and was the companys executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations when it was acquired by Western Digital. Prior to SanDisk, Mr. Bhatia held various positions at Matrix Semiconductor and in consulting at McKinsey and Company and Saint Gobain Corporation. Mr. Bhatia earned bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a masters degree in business administration from MIT Sloan School of Management, which he attended as a Leaders for Manufacturing fellow.

Mark Patel is a Senior Partner at McKinsey and Company in the San Francisco Office. Mark focuses on serving clients where technologies come together in hard and complex ways, for maximum global impact. He co-leads the McKinsey Platform for Climate Technologies (MPCT), founded and leads McKinsey Internet of Things (IoT) work globally and is a leader in our global Semiconductor Practice. Mark is also a member of McKinsey own Technology Council. Mark engages with clients across sectors on strategy and operational topics. He has experience leading a diverse of engagements, from high growth programs to turnarounds. In all cases, he works closely with management to define a plan and deliver impact. A passionate believer in the impact that disruptive technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, next gen computing, synthetic biology) will have on improving our lives, work, climate, society, and health, Mark has committed his client and professional focus to these issues. Mark has led programs to support some of the most iconic companies in advanced industries to embrace disruptive technologies across their products and operations. He combines an understanding of technology with has deep operational experience. His recent work has also included supporting clients in their development of resilient global supply chains and navigation of future manufacturing strategy. As a leader within McKinsey global Sustainability work, Mark set up and co-leads our Platform for Climate Technologies (MPCT). Within the MPCT, 12 global priority technologies have been identified and a team of over 500 colleagues globally are now engaged to directly support clients in the development and scaling of the most important technologies for the net zero transition. Mark is also a champion for decarbonization in key sectors. He co-leads McKinsey work to support decarbonization in semiconductors, an effort which is close to his heart and experience. Mark has hands on experience in building early-stage high growth businesses. Outside McKinsey, he was part of themanagement team that grew a synthetic biology and renewables business from lab to commercial scale and IPO in less than 5 years and where he continued as public company executive officer. Previously Mark was part of a team which created one of Europe’s first mobile application software businesses, building on novel NLP technology. Mark started his career as an automotive engineer with Ford in the UK. Mark holds an MBA from Stanford University and both Masters and Bachelors degrees in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK.
