Debanjan is the CEO of DataRobot. He joined DataRobot at the beginning of 2022 as President and COO, and was appointed CEO in July, 2022. Before joining DataRobot, he was VP/GM of Data Analytics services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, PubSub, Dataproc etc in Google Cloud (GCP). In that role, Debanjan led engineering, operations, and drove go-to- market strategy and overall P and L, for GCP Analytics business. Prior to joining Google, Debanjan led Database services at AWS where he led the development and launch of Amazon Aurora, a massively scalable relational database service re-imagined for the cloud. In 2019, Debanjan was named one of the technology executive of the year for transforming database industry. He is also responsible for launching AWS Glue, a data integration and transformation service at the core of AWS Datalake. Debanjan has also held multiple executive and technical leadership positions in IBM, including a 2-year international assignment in Shanghai, China. He started his career as a Principal Engineer at Tellium, an optical networking pioneer and helped them grow from an early stage start-up to a public company ($3B+ IPO). Debanjan is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Distinguished Member of the ACM and has co-authored a book, 50+ US patent applications, 100+ technical articles, including award winning papers and major Internet standards. He has a MS and PhD degrees from the University of Maryland, and a BTech from IIT, all in Computer Science.
