Brad Surak is the CPO of Turntide Technologies. Brad joined Turntide in 2021 after serving at Hitachi Vantara. As president of digital solutions, he spearheaded the transformation of this 110-year-old global company into a digital solutions leader. He has also served as COO at GE Digital and GM of Mobile Analytic Applications at SAP.
Tony Pan is the co-founder and CEO of Modern Electron. Modern Electron is democratizing energy generation to make energy greener and more affordable. Buildings are responsible for more CO2 emissions than any other sector of the economy. Modern Electron's tech enables distributed energy generation in buildings, even in our homes. This saves money, reduces carbon emissions, and complements renewables. Dr. Pan is a co-inventor on 250+ patents pending in deep tech, spanning energy & climate, nanotechnology, and biomedical devices. His past experiences include pro bono consulting on global health for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and for the Global Good Fund. He is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations. Previously he served as a member of the Global Future Councils on Entrepreneurship & Energy, and was a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum. He has been named to Forbes 30 under 30, MIT Technology Review Innovator Under 35, and the Business Journal's 40 under 40. During his PhD at Harvard, his national recognitions include the Hertz, Soros, and the National Science Foundation fellowships. Tony grew up in Taiwan, Scotland, and Korea, and was the first in his family to immigrate to the USA.
Arielle Gross Samuels is the Global Head of ESG Business at Facebook. She founded and leads a global team that builds initiatives and strategic partnerships focused on ESG, social good, and business equality in service of 200M+ businesses around the world. Key initiatives include running Facebook’s grants program to provide $40M to 10K Black-owned businesses in the US to boost liquidity for those businesses hit hardest by COVID-19, overseeing Facebook’s commitments towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 ‘decent work and economic growth, and leading Facebook’s business sustainability presence through initiatives like Communities for Recycling – a Messenger experience to improve recycling. Her accolades include being named a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Marketing and Advertising, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Goalkeeper, Board Member of the Geena Davis Institute of Gender in Media, Board Member of Girl Up – United Nations Foundation, Board Director of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, Adweek Executive Mentor, Representative on the United Nations Women Global Innovation Coalition for Change, Lead of Facebook Women New York, Founding Member of Chief, and Advisor for #BuiltByGirls. Samuels holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at UrbanaChampaign, where she founded the Arielle Gross Engineering Visionary Scholarship Fund to accelerate the diversity of engineering students.
