A Women in Tech International Hall of Famer and trailblazer, Dr Jaleh Daie is passionate about improving the human condition. She is a multifaceted thought leader whose career spans academia, business, philanthropy, government and NGOs, A noted research biologist, Jaleh is an investor, board director, keynoter & strategic advisor. She has served the administrations of three Presidents and collaborated/worked in several countries. Her success in navigating disparate careers in both private & public sectors stems from her ability to apply the appropriate mental model to each role. As a strategic thinker, Jaleh has served on numerous boards as director, board chairman, board secretary and board treasurer as well as chair of charity galas helping to raise millions of dollars for her causes. She continues her community service by currently serving on four national/international non-profit boards. Currently, she is a Partner at Aurora Equity & Founder/Chair of AgFood Tech at the Silicon Valley-based Band of Angels, the original organized Angel group. Previously, she was head of STEM at the David & Lucile Packard Foundation giving multi-million-dollar research grants. She has worked on Presidential initiatives with President’s National Science & Tech Council and as a special assistant to Chief Scientist at NOAA. Jaleh began her career at Rutgers Univ. & UW-Madison, where she was a professor (made full professor in 6 years); senior science adviser to the President of the 26-campus UW-System; academic Dept. Chair (1st woman in her field); Founder/Chief Executive of multidisciplinary academic centre & founder/Director of a university-wide graduate program. Jaleh’s honors include LSQ Ambassador (Australia), Biotech Distinguished Speaker (South Africa), a US Congressional Citation, Henry Rutgers Fellow, Honorary Naval Aviator, Hon. Life Girl Scouts, Teksia Lifetime Achievement; Honorary doctorate degree; AAAS & AWIS Fellow. Leaders of Science, among others.
