Scott McKinley is a seasoned executive leading global innovation and corporate entrepreneurship in the education field throughout Asia, Europe, and the USA. He thrives on taking disparate facts, people, markets, and processes and distilling them into differentiated business models that drive sustainable innovation. Several noteworthy examples: Scott co-founded Neumont College of Computer Science (www.neumont.edu), led strategic and corporate engagement for Cisco's Internet of Things education program, and led Laureate Education's (the largest owner/operator of private universities) entrance into Asia.
He has lived and worked outside of the US for 20 years across many Asian countries and in Europe. Scott works for Amazon Web Services as the Global Lead for the Professional Services arm of Amazon leading an internal corporate university effort called CloudU. The program is responsible for the technical, consulting, and leadership development skills of the global professional services workforce. Prior to this role, Scott led the AWS Academy, which provides cloud computing curricula and faculty professional development to higher education institutions, preparing students for industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs.
