Perspective: Mobile health, how technology is shaping the health sector
Paul spent 17 years in the aerospace industry in various positions in engineering, engineering project management, product management and business development prior to joining Qualcomm in 1998. At Qualcomm Paul has served as project leader on numerous product and business development projects including establishing Qualcomm’s initial business presence in Europe and building the Company’s relationship with the automobile industry where Qualcomm is now the leading supplier of wireless chipsets. He has led a number of healthcare related business development initiatives at Qualcomm and developed Qualcomm’s first healthcare related business in 2003 when Qualcomm began providing wireless connectivity services to healthcare services companies. Paul was instrumental in the establishment of Lifecomm, a Qualcomm joint venture with two other companies that is focused on bringing consumer health services to market. Paul seves on Lifecomm’s Board of Directors and is leading the effort to develop the company’s first wireless health offering. He also is currently leading Qualcomm’s QCT Division business development activities in the automotive and healthcare sectors.
