Sridhar Ranganathan is the Founder and CEO of Clood On Inc.
Prior to this new start up company, he was the Founder and Managing Director of Blue Vector Inc. where he led the company’s software development center in Bangalore and as the Worldwide Sr. Vice President for Client Services.
An entrepreneur who thrives on using cutting edge technologies to create immense value, he was recognized by his Alma Mater with “One among the Best Alumni” award in 2008 by Dr. Abdul Kalam, the former president of India during a ceremony celebrating the 75th anniversary of the prestigious South Indian Education Society (SIES) in Mumbai.
With over 19 years of experience in the wireless and software industry, he started his career at Xerox Corporation as a software engineer in the Silicon Valley, California. He left Xerox to join Pure Software that eventually merged with Rational Software and later with IBM. Sridhar left Pure to co-found Online Anywhere in 1997 and wore many hats to get it off the ground, including business strategy, day to day operations and engineering.
Online Anywhere was awarded 7 patents in the Mobile Data and Applications space and were the pioneers in mobile based applications such as email on the phone. Online Anywhere was acquired by Yahoo! in 1999.
While at Yahoo!, as a Vice-President, Sridhar ran the worldwide P/L for Yahoo! Everywhere in Sunnyvale, California. Sridhar, then relocated to Bangalore, India and was the COO of the Yahoo! Software Development Center Pvt. Ltd. to help scale operations in a very rapidly growing technology sector in this part of the world.
Sridhar holds an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University, Pennsylvania and BE in Computer Engineering from Bombay University.
