Now it's your chance to create your own video elevator pitch! Create a short video pitching your idea in an actual elevator! That’s right! This is an elevator pitch in an actual elevator. Have fun! Then submit your video to us (see directions below) --the winning video will win the grand prize and get you noticed by many investors who will be at TiEcon 2008!TiEcon judges will determine the winning video based on combination of both the number of public votes on your video and the actual content of the video (interesting, persuasive, funny, etc.). HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO: Watch the instructional video describing the following steps, here -
After creating your Elevator Pitch video, upload your video on YouTube: -
Log in to (or create a new account on) YouTube -
Click on the ‘Upload’ button to add your Elevator Pitch video to your YouTube account -
Next, YouTube requires the following to be filled out: -
Title: "TiEcon2008: NAME OF YOUR VIDEO". If "TiEcon2008" does not precede your title, it will not be accepted as a valid entry -
Description: Enter a brief description of your video -
Video Category: select ‘Entertainment’ -
Tags: enter ‘TiEcon 2008’ -
Next, scroll down and click on the text link named "Upload a video..." -
Click on the Browse button and select your video on your computer -
Finally, click on the ‘Upload’ button. The following message will be displayed when upload is complete: -
‘Thank you! Your upload is complete.’ -
That’s it; you’re done with this part! -
[Wait about 10 minutes before proceeding to this next step; uploaded videos to YouTube take a few minutes to process] After uploading your Elevator Pitch video on your YouTube account, you’ll need to add (link) your video to the TiEcon 2008 Video contest page, here’s how: -
Go to the TiEcon 2008 Contest http://www.youtube.com/group/ElevatorPitchContest and click the ‘Join This Group’ text link -
You should now see the following text appear letting you know that you are now part of this group: ‘Welcome! You are now a member of this group’ -
Click on the "Add Videos" text link -
Select the Elevator Pitch video you created which you'd like to submit and click on "Add to Group" -
The video will be posted pending administrator approval, usually within 24 hours -
Last, but not least, to be eligible to win the contest, complete the following form by clicking here. -
Finally, tell all your friends to watch your Elevator Pitch video and vote for your video -
They can see your Elevator Pitch video on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/group/ElevatorPitchContes -
