1. When and where is the E-Bazaar event held?
   E-Bazaar is being held Exhibit Hall A on Friday May 16, 2008 at TiEcon
   
   
2. Is E-Bazaar exclusive?
   E-Bazaar is an exclusive event, open to confirmed and waitlisted Entrepreneurs, Sponsor VC and Strategic Partner firms
   
   
3. What do I need to do on the day of E-Bazaar event?
   On May 16th after picking up your TiEcon badge, you need to go to the E-Bazaar venue to pick up your E-Bazaar badge and packet. You are expected to arrive at the venue a minimum of right on time. Check-in time will be provided to all confirmed and waitlisted candidates by 1st week of May.
   
   
4. How is an Entrepreneur matched to a VC?
   Entrepreneurs and VCs are asked to choose one (out of 31) "Technology Area" they are focused on. A panel comprised of technical and VC experts sits down in multiple long-hour sessions to carefully review and assign Entrepreneurs to the most suitable (and available) VC. To enable a good match, it is vital that Entrepreneurs completely answer all the questions on the E-Bazaar registration form.
   
   
5. What are the VCs expecting?
   VCs are focused on giving guidance and helping entrepreneurs towards reaching their next step. The VCs are expecting the entrepreneurs to come well prepared with a crisp presentation for their venture, idea and team. 
   
   
6. What is chance that the entrepreneur will get called for a next round of discussion with the VC?
   If the ideas and the teams are strong enough, it can result in potential deal flow. Last year, multiple entrepreneurs were asked for follow-up meetings at VCs’ office after TiEcon. 
   
   
7. Is the entrepreneur being matched to VCs and Service providers both?
   Based on last year’s feedback, this year entrepreneurs are only being matched to VCs in advance. Entrepreneurs can meet Service providers at the E-Bazaar venue and do not need prior appointments. In addition to meeting with service providers individually, you may also attend informal round table discussions provided by different service providers. The discussion topics and times will be sent out to you before E-Bazaar
   
   
8. What is the capacity for Entrepreneurs?
   The capacity is determined by the number of available VCs at E-Bazaar. Currently we have capacity for 180 Entrepreneur-VC meeting slots. Once all the meeting slots are full, the remaining entrepreneurs will be put on the waiting list. Only a limited number of Entrepreneurs within the waiting list will be invited for the E-Bazaar event. All the participant will be notified about Confirmation/waitlist during 1st Week of May.
   
   
9. Who are the VCs participating this year?
   Most top-tier VC firms will be participating in the E-Bazaar. You will receive a printed E-Bazaar brochure at the venue containing a detailed list of VCs and their bios. VC firms are listed on the website.
   
   
10. Does TiEcon filter out any ideas or entrepreneurs prior to the event?
    Absolutely Not. In true TiE spirit, the E-Bazaar is here to serve and prepare entrepreneurs and not to reject them based on any criterion. All the registrations are processed on a strictly First-Come-First-Served basis.
    
    
11. Can I request a change in meeting time or meet with a different VC?
    Unfortunately not. All the meeting slots are optimally filled and there are no empty meeting slots to accommodate changes. However, at the venue you can choose to add your name to the bottom of the waiting list for securing a second meeting with different VC.. 
    
    
12. What if I am matched to a VC not relevant to my technology area?
    It is vital that the entrepreneur completely answer all the questions in the E-Bazaar registration form. This helps in matching the entrepreneur to the right VC. Despite all care, if you do get matched to a VC who is not serving the technology area your idea is in, feel free to approach a different VC during the mixer hour. 
    
    
13. What happens if a VC drops out?
    All the entrepreneurs assigned to him/her will be moved to the top of the Waiting list. We intend to have backup VCs as contingency plans for such unforeseen situations.
    
    
14. Is there any online forum to exchange messages with E-Bazaar attendees and organizers?

15. How will I be able to know VCs from entrepreneurs at the E-Bazaar?
    Green color badges/ribbons will designate VCs.
    
    
16. What kinds of prizes are given at the E-Bazaar?
    Prizes will be distributed during the 4 PM mixer event. For more details, please visit the TiEcon website during the upcoming days as and when the details are finalized.
    
    
17. Can I have team members attend the VC meeting with me?
    Team members should be registered as TiEcon attendees and they can attend the meeting.
    
    
18. Can/Should I bring the business plan to the VC at the meeting?
    We recommend you bring the business plan to make your meeting more effective so that the VC gets a good understanding of your business and plans.
    
    
19. How long is my meeting with the VC and what if we need additional time?
    VC meetings are 15 mts since we have several attendees for the E-Bazaar event. For additional time, we expect you to coordinate with the VC or come up with a mutual agreement for a follow up during your initial conversation. Our goal is to facilitate the first meeting during the E-Bazaar event.
    
    
20. What if I am unable to participate on May 16th and I need to reschedule my meeting at a later time since the matching is already done ?
    If you do cannot participate on May 16th, that slot will be allocated to the next person in the waitlist. Please understand that the VC meeting is only valid during TiEcon event for May 16th.
